Steve Storment

Recently retired, Steve Storment is a 30+ year member of the Phoenix Fire Department. While there, he directed the Medical Services Division. His career and education has focused on safety and health issues that firefighter's face in today's complex response roles. He managed and conducted training regarding EMS, Safety, Technical Rescue, Hazardous Materials, Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), as well as Airport Operations and the Department's Training Academy, which includes the Wellness Initiative. Steve was involved in the developmental stages of programs relating to WMD from the First Responder, IMS and Technician level. He worked with numerous cities around the country on WMD response and policy issues under a Grant from the Department of Defense. He also chaired the Metropolitan Medical Response System (MMRS) Work Group in conjunction with the City of Phoenix Emergency Operations Center (EOC).
