Capt. Masonis has over 20 years fire service experience. He is currently Senior Instructor for the State Fire Marshall's Office, the California Dept. of Forestry and the Office of Emergency Services. He also teaches for FEMA, part of the Dept. of Homeland Security, in the field of Urban Search & Rescue. He is a member of FEMA Task Force 6 and the FEMA Urban Search & Rescue Incident Support Team. He has been heavily involved in USAR for 18 years.
