David Walters is the director of brand protection at Cisco Systems in San Jose, CA. In David's new role at Cisco, he is responsible for maintaining brand trust and growing brand equity as Cisco has the 16th most valuable brand in the world with an estimated worth of $14B. He was previously Cisco’s Sr. Manager, Corporate Safety & Security. His master’s thesis on workplace violence was summarized in earlier editions of Introduction to Security. David also worked on the security team of an America's Cup racing yacht and consulted to a member of Congress on campaign security matters. He also travels widely to present Cisco’s employee awareness seminar, "Safety and Security in a Turbulent World."
